Camp China
No matter what I have gone though, that is happiness or pain, I never regret.
On July 11th, I took part in the Camp China. Since I joined it, I have changed so much. Before I went here, I had a lot of bad habits. For example: I usually got up at eleven’o clock or twelve’o clock at home. I had no regular patterns in my dailylike. I played, slept, studied just as I liked or wanted. But when I got here, these bad habits had disappeared. I had to got up at 6:40 every morning. And I also had to have classes for more than 8 hours. Of course, first I was fed up with these things. But after a few days, I had got into these new habits. They are good for my health. And I also learnt much from my foreign teachers. Now I know the differences of the customs between Chinese and American. For example: last week we held a wedding. On it we learnt much about the customs of the wedding in the USA. And we learnt some words about it like: bride, groom, guests, minister, wedding dress, flowergirl and so on. Last weekends we traveled to Qianzhai. On this trip I had a wonderful time. We had delicious meals, interesting dance and lived with the people in Qianzhai. It’s very interesting and exciting. I think I’ll remember this trip for many years. And I climed the hills with my friends in the trip. The scenery is very beautiful. And we all lose ourselves in it. We took pictures there. Our foreign teacher’s name is Goldie Schimpf. She’s a very warm-hearted lady. In class she often taught us to sing songs. I heard that she used to be a singer in America. I think maybe it’s true. Because she really sings very well. Her teaching way is quite different from our Chinese teachers’. If we answered questions not well, she just said something to encourage us. We also learnt some knowledge in class. Since I came here, I had taken part in many programes. They’re interesting. We not only played but also learnt something American from them. I remembered that the first programe is “Christmas Day”. During this programe, the foreign teachers told us the derivation of Christmas Day. They didn’t just say, they also got ready for the programe to act. It’s exciting and makes a lasting impression on me.
It’s really nice to be here. I’ll remember this trip of Camp China forever.
